Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie gets released on December 20, 2024

In February, it was revealed that Paramaunt Pictures and SEGA had launched production on the third part of Sonic the Movie. Now the companies have announced that the movie will go into distribution on December 20, 2024.

As a reminder, a series Knuckles the Echidna is also in development. The red Echidna will be voiced by Idris Elba, as in the Sonic 2. The TV show will premiere in 2023 on Paramaunt+.

Needless to say, the third picture about the blue hedgehog was preceded by the success of the previous two. The sequel holds the record for the first weekend in the U.S. among game screenings, and the past champion was the first Sonic.
