As it turns out, the operating system has learned to detect fake AirPods earphones. The system will report this when you try to connect a non-original device to your iPhone or iPad. The message that is displayed on the screen reads, "These earphones cannot be verified as authentic AirPods and may not behave as expected."

At the same time, the gadget will not block the connection of the fake, but will only offer the option "Do not connect".

By the way, Apple already tells users when a non-genuine part is found in an iPhone or iPad. Now it looks like the company is ready to extend this warning to fake accessories as well.
