Ahead of iOS 17 announcement: Apple prepares iOS 16.6

Apple is announcing a stable version of iOS 16.5 this week. As it turns out, this will not be the last interim version of the system before the release of iOS 17.

Here's What We Know

According to our colleagues at MacRumros, the company's developers are also working on iOS 16.6. Testing of the system should launch late this week or early next week, with an OS release scheduled before WWDC 2023.

Most likely, iOS 16.6 won't have any drastic changes. Apple will only fix bugs, as well as prepare devices for the next generation of iOS.
