Jony Ive is working with Apple again: he's producing a cartoon for Apple TV+ with Idris Elba, Woody Harrelson, and J.J. Abrams

Former Apple chief designer Jony Ive announced his departure from the company in 2019, but still can't part with it. He continued to work on the 24-inch iMac and other products, as well as leading the design of the Apple Car. And now Ive has served as a producer on a new cartoon for Apple TV+.

We're talking about the animated film "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse," which debuts on the streaming service this Christmas. The short film is based on Charlie Mackesy's best-selling novel of the same name and tells the story of the friendship between four characters who are looking for a boy's home. A story of kindness, friendship, courage and hope for audiences of all ages in a warm, classic animated film based on Charlie Mackesy's book "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse." The Mole will be voiced by Tom Hollander, Idris Elba will be the Fox, Gabriel Byrne will be the Horse and Jude Coward Nicoll will be the Boy. The cartoon will be directed by Peter Baynton and the crew will include Cara Speller, J. J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella. Ive is considered an executive producer along with Woody Harrelson, a famous friend of the famous Apple designer.

It will premiere December 25 on the BBC in the UK, as well as on Apple TV+ in other countries.
