Leak: the main antagonist in the Deadpool and Wolverine film has been revealed, and interestingly enough, it's connected to the X-Men world

It has been reported online that the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine film has finally revealed the identity of the main villain, and it has an important connection to the X-Men worlds.

Here's What We Know

Since the announcement of this year's only film from Marvel Studios, we have been slowly and carefully revealed the production details of "Deadpool 3", but the main antagonist has yet to be introduced.

However, according to the latest information from the US Copyright Office, the cast involved in the film includes Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds, Wolverine played by Hugh Jackman, Vanessa played by Morena Baccarin, Elektra played by Jennifer Garner and, of particular interest, the sinister Cassandra Nova played by Emma Corrin.

As a character known for her hostility to the X-Men world, Cassandra is a natural fit as the film's main antagonist.

As a reminder, Cassandra Nova, created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitel, has special significance to the story of Deadpool and Wolverine. She originally appeared in New X-Men Comics #114, where she closely resembled Charles Xavier. There's a good reason for this: they're technically brother and sister. Nova is the Mumudrai, or mental opposite of Xavier. You could say she represents the dark side of his human potential.

After Xavier killed her while she was still in the womb, Cassandra managed to come back to life. Cassandra's long feud against Xavier led to her career as a villain in the X-Men comics. During her career, Nova has killed millions of mutants and completely destroyed the mutant fortress of Genosha. She has telepathic powers, much like Xavier, and also has limited telekinesis and regeneration abilities. Although she is technically a mutant herself, she despises mutants for their association with Xavier. Her only goal is to kill her twin brother.

While there's no official confirmation yet, Cassandra is likely to be Marvel's main villain this year. She has already been glimpsed in the trailer, where the back of her head was glimpsed in the frame. It is speculated that Wade Wilson and Logan, who will team up to counter Cassandra Nova, will likely be joined by other X-Men characters to take down this sinister anti-heroine.
