Following tablet and laptop Microsoft has delighted fans with a foldable smartphone of the second generation. The novelty is called Microsoft Surface Duo 2.

The model is equipped with two 5.8" organic LED panels with resolution 1344 x 1892 pixel. Both displays support 90Hz refresh rate and are protected by Gorilla Glass. The overall diagonal of both displays is 8.3".

The hinge allows Microsoft Surface Duo 2 to be unfolded like a book or placed like a tent, while the flexion allows you to view the time and notifications on your smartphone when it's closed. A Surface Slim Pen 2 stylus is attached to the side of the case.

The American company's flagship is equipped with a 5nm Snapdragon 888 chip with 5G modem. Also note the support of Near Field Communication and wireless charging standard Qi, which was not in the foldable smartphone of the first generation.

The company decided not to specify the battery capacity of Microsoft Surface Duo 2. According to the official information, a full charge should be enough for the user for the whole day.

The main camera resolution is 16 MP + 12 MP + 12 MP. It has optical image stabilization. The operating system used is a version of Android 11.

Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is scheduled to be launched on October 5. The novelty will hit the market at a price of $1,500 for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The top-end version is equipped with 512GB of storage.
