Microsoft integrates ChatGPT into its Azure OpenAI service

Microsoft has integrated ChatGPT into its Azure OpenAI service, so developers can now embed conversational artificial intelligence into their cloud applications. Businesses can use ChatGPT to create custom chatbots to handle customer queries, provide conversation summaries, help with email automation, and more.

The company says that Azure OpenAI users can access the preview version of ChatGPT for $0.002/token, and the usage fee will start on 13 March. Also, developers will need to submit a special application for access, as the service is available to Microsoft customers and partners.

In addition to ChatGPT, Microsoft's cloud service also includes a number of other models from OpenAI, such as Codex and DALL-E. The company combines tools such as ChatGPT and DALL-E with Azure data processing, management, and scaling. The software developer is using Azure OpenAI to power GitHub Copilot, Power BI, Microsoft Teams Premium, Viva Sales, and the new Microsoft Bing chatbot.
