Britain's Bullitt Group and Lenovo have announced the Motorola Defy 2 rugged smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The novelty has received a plastic body with anti-bacterial coating, as well as IP68/IP69K water and MIL-STD-810 impact protection. According to the manufacturer, the device is not afraid of falling from heights up to 1.8 meters. The smartphone can be washed and disinfected with soap, water and alcohol wipes. The device supports fifth generation (5G) networking and boasts satellite support.

In terms of specs, the Motorola Defy 2 is equipped with a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS display at 120Hz and a MediaTek Dimensity 930 processor. The chip is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB. ROM. The built-in memory can be expanded with a microSD card if desired.

The novelty also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging and wireless charging support. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone's battery life will last up to two days. The novelty has four cameras: a 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP triple main camera and an 8 MP single front one. The Motorola Defy 2 comes with Android 12 on board. The manufacturer promises that the novelty will get two major OS updates and will receive current security patches for 5 years.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The Motorola Defy 2 will start selling in North and Latin America in the second quarter of 2023. The novelty will cost $599.
