Star Wars Outlaws receives a 19+ rating in Korea: it's all about mini betting games

We wrote that a new trailer for Star Wars Outlaws was presented at Future Games Show. However, the news about the game does not end there, as Outlaws has received an age rating in Korea.

Here's What We Know

It is mentioned that the game has a realistic simulation of speculative behaviour, as well as a mini-game with in-game bets and dividends. The latter probably means the appearance of the card game "Subbuck", which was shown in the first trailer.

So the presence of such gambling games was the reason for the 19+ rating. However, according to Daily Star Wars Games, the game will be rated 13+ in the US and 16+ in Europe.

When We Can Expect It

There is no exact release date, but the game is expected to be released in 2024 on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.

Flashback

Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world game set between the fifth and sixth episodes of the films. The game is developed by The Division (Massive Entertainment) and published by Ubisoft. The story is not about a Jedi, but focuses on Kay Wess, an ordinary girl who constantly wants to get into a situation and emerge victorious. Her main goal is a large-scale robbery, after which she will be able to feel what a normal life is. She will be travelling with her cute animal Nix and the BX-commando droid.

Players will be able to visit both long-familiar and new places in the Far Galaxy on their own speeder. The game will feature stealth mechanics, but if something goes wrong, you can always use a blaster and destroy all enemies. The developers also promise a system of choice that will affect the reputation of Kay.
