Google started canceling pre-orders for Pixel 6 smartphones and won't give refunds

Google recently opened up pre-orders for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and now has started canceling users' orders and not refunding any money in the process.

What we know

Google's Pixel 6 is available with 128GB of internal storage for $599, while the 256GB ROM variant costs $699. The Pro version in the same configurations is $300 more, and is also available with 512GB of storage for $1,099. The company is giving Pixel Buds Series A headphones when you place a pre-order.

US users have started reporting that Google is cancelling pre-orders and not refunding money, explaining that it is paying from outside of the United States, even if it's not true. What's interesting is that some customers have already managed to get Pixel Buds Series A before their pre-order was cancelled by the manufacturer.

Review Geek reporters also encountered these issues. During a call to Google support, the sudden order cancellations were attributed to a "deployment glitch" and a "problem with the terms of sale." How the company will handle the situation is still unclear.
