The project is not cancelled! Sony has explained why it removed the official trailer of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic RPG remake, as well as all mentions of the game on its social networks

Today many media outlets, including ours, speculated why Sony removed the official trailer of the remake of the role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, as well as all mentions of the game in its social networks.

Here's What We Know

Sony representatives finally gave explanations about the situation.

Everything turned out to be much simpler: no one cancelled the development of the remake. The decision was dictated by the expiration of the licence for the soundtrack, which was used in the KOTOR remake trailer.

The editors of Kotaku portal have received confirmation from Sony that this is a standard procedure that does not affect the development of the game itself.

However, this does not cancel the insider information that the development of the game is going hard and there is a high probability that gamers will never see the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
