What is the best router for college apartment?

Yo, what's good everyone! Just moved into my first college apartment and the Wi-Fi here is trash. Need a solid router ASAP. 


Deets:

- 2 bedroom apartment, like 800 sq ft

- 3 roommates, all gamers

- I'm on a computer science program, so lots of downloads

- We're splitting the cost, budget around $150 max


Hit me with your recommendations! Bonus points if it's easy to set up cuz I'm already drowning in orientation stuff.

the tp-Link axe75 is what i ended up with after way too much research - tri-band, handles a crowded apartment fine, setup took maybe 15 minutes

my roommate swore wifi was fine for gaming until i handed him an ethernet cable mid-match. He hasn't touched wireless since. some things you just can't explain you have to witness
