Looking for best vpn for chromebook that actually works with school device?

Freaking out about privacy on this school-issued chromebook. Got caught in a weird situation where:

Device is "managed" by school district
Admin blocks most regular installations
Noticed weird activity logs appearing
Sometimes see camera light flicker randomly???
Can't afford separate device right now

Stuck using this thing for assignments but also need some privacy for my own stuff (banking, social accounts, etc). Anyone cracked this code or am I just digital cattle for the education surveillance complex? 😭

Droppped my school laptop in toilet "accidentally" and got normal laptop with financial aid money. Sometimes problems solve themselves 🚽

Wrap chromebook in aluminum foil when not using for class. Blocks remote activation signals. Call me paranoid but mine hasn't randomly activated since 🔍

question - does your school agreement specifically forbid vpns? mine had clause where even attempting bypassing monitoring = academic integrity violation = could affect college apps

Secret workaround: enable guest mode before doing personal stuff. Separate session isolated from main profile monitoring. Won't stop everything but helps against casual snooping
