The developers of the humanoid robot Ameca have trained the humanoid to display a dozen kinds of emotions using facial expressions.

What we know

Ameca is a creation of the British company Engineered Arts. The robot was introduced in 2021 and immediately caused a furor due to its advanced facial expressions. Now the humanoid can use its face to portray 12 types of emotions, including distrust, pain, regret and disgust.

According to the manufacturer, Ameca is the world's most advanced humanoid robot. Engineered Arts states that the device is focused on helping specialists study the interaction between robots and humans.
