NASA showed a 59-minute video showing 133 days of the Sun's life

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has created a fun video that shows several months of the Sun's life. The video was published by the Goddard Space Flight Center.

Here's What We Know

In 2010, NASA sent the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) into space. It was them who helped create the video based on photographs taken at 1 minute and 48 second intervals.

The observatory is 22,000 kilometers from our planet's surface and takes images in the extreme ultraviolet range. The video, 59 minutes and 17 seconds long, allows us to see 133 days of the Sun's life.

Each day SDO receives tens of thousands of images. The observatory is one of the largest sources of data on the celestial luminary. For this reason, NASA has extended the life of the spacecraft until 2030, although its mission ended back in 2015.
