Telegram overtakes Facebook Messenger to become world's second most popular messenger

Telegram creator Pavel Durov has reported on the messenger's success. It has become more popular than Facebook Messenger.

Over the past five years, Telegram has managed to overtake Facebook Messenger. It is now second on the list of most popular instant messenger services.

Telegram has a 31% share. Facebook Messenger controls 21% of the market. The leader is still WhatsApp. Its share is 44%. Signal owns about 3% more.
