Flight tests of the unmanned fighter jet began in December last year. In the eighth test flight, the Bayraktar Kizilelma reached a speed of 630 km/h and performed low-altitude manoeuvres while flying over the runway.

The Turkish company plans to launch mass production of the drones early next year, some 12 months after the first test flight. The Bayraktar Kizilelma will be deployed on the new TCG Anadolu landing craft along with the Bayraktar TB3.
