Taiwan will collect intelligence using drones, but has no plans to share it with Japan and the US

We wrote, citing the Financial Times, that the US, Japan and Taiwan would share intelligence gathered by drones in real time. However, Taiwan has denied this information.

Here's What We Know

Four sources said the intelligence sharing would help Taiwan prepare for a possible Chinese invasion. The MQ-9B Sea Guardian drones, purchased from General Atomics at a cost of $600 million, will be used for this purpose.

However, Taiwan's Ministry of Defence has denied the information. The ministry said it had not yet been informed of plans to share real-time intelligence using maritime drones.
