Insider: Google Pixel 7a will get a 90 Hz display, wireless charging and a new dual camera

We've written more than once that Google is working on a mid-budget Pixel 7a smartphone. Now thanks to dataminer @Za_Raczke there are details about the novelty.

Here's What We Know

So, the Google Pixel 7a will boast a Samsung FHD+ resolution screen, as well as support for an increased refresh rate of up to 90 Hz.

In addition, the device will get wireless charging and a new dual camera setup. The main sensor will be a Sony IMX787. It will be complemented by a wide-angle Sony IMX712 module.

As for the processor, the smartphone will be equipped with a proprietary Tensor chip. Most likely, we are talking about the second generation SoC. By the way, Google plans to use Wi-Fi and BT modules from Qualcomm in the smartphone for the first time. Prior to this, the corporation installed Broadcom modules in devices with the Tensor processor.

When We Can Expect It

Unfortunately, it is not worth waiting for the Pixel 7a in the near future. Most likely, the smartphone will be announced in the spring of 2023.
