Unexpectedly! Apple is preparing to release a new full-size HomePod smart speaker

Apple withdrew its HomePod smart speaker from production in 2021 because of low sales, and now it looks like it is preparing to release its new version.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by Bloomberg journalist and insider Mark Gurman. The novelty will get an updated panel with touch control. The speaker will run on a proprietary S8 processor. The same chip is installed in the current smartwatch Apple Watch.

As for the price, Gurman says it will be competitive. In comparison, the original HomePod sold for $349.

The new HomePod will be released in the near future.
