Insider reveals what screens the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones will get

Insider and founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young, has revealed information about the new products' displays.

- Google Pixel 8 - 6.16", down from 6.32" on the Pixel 7
- Google Pixel 8 Pro - 6.7", same as Pixel 7 Pro
Both start panel production in May.
So, both devices will get OLED panels made by Samsung. They will support an increased refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The base version of the smartphone will be equipped with a reduced screen from 6.32" to 6.16". The top-end model will have the same screen diagonal - 6.7". By the way, according to the source, production of the displays for the smartphones will start in May.

When We Can Expect It
Google is likely to show off the new products at the I/O 2023 developer conference on May 10. A full release of the new products is planned for the fall.
