Which iPad models will not receive iPadOS 17

A list of older iPad models that will not receive the new version of the iPadOS 17 operating system has surfaced online.

Here's What We Know

According to French website iPhoneSoft, Apple has no plans to update four models:

iPad Pro (2017)
iPad Air (3rd generation)
iPad (6th generation)
iPad mini (5th generation)

According to iPhoneSoft, the information was revealed by a source inside the company. By the way, the absence of iPadOS 17 for these tablet models does not mean that Apple has completely stopped supporting them. Most likely, the company will continue to release security updates and various patches for the devices. iPadOS 17 is expected to be released in early June at the WWDC 2023 conference.
