Media: Ukraine wants to buy 11 IRIS-T SLM surface-to-air missile systems from Germany, contract worth 1,500,000,000 euros and may take 5 years
According to the German newspaper Welt, Ukraine wants to buy an advanced IRIS-T SLM air defense system from Germany.

We are talking about 11 units worth 1,500,000,000 euros. They want to buy them directly from the manufacturer Diehl Defense. According to the source, Ukraine applied for an export license in early July, but it has not yet been approved by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
If everything turns out well, the contract will last for 5 years. Although the first deliveries of the system may start at the end of this year.
