The White House is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine.
What we know
This is reported by Reuters news agency. According to the source, the package will be for $1,000,000,000. It will include ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, as well as anti-aircraft missile system NASAMS.
Besides the USA will transfer to us 50 M113 armored personnel carriers - a special ambulance version. The deliveries have not yet been officially announced, but it is rumored that this will happen on Monday, 8 August.
Recall that Ukraine now has 16 HIMARS and over M113 armored personnel carriers, which the U.S. promised us, are already in Ukraine of various modifications. As for the NASAMS SAMs, they should arrive in Ukraine in the near future. Western partners will give us two batteries.
