The British Defense Ministry showed what the Challenger 2 tanks, which will be transferred to Ukraine, are capable of (video)

The British government recently announced the biggest new military aid package for Ukraine. It includes, among others, a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks, i.e. 14 pieces.

The other day, the British Ministry of Defense published a post on social media about Challenger 2 tanks for Ukraine and a video from a training exercise that shows what these tanks can do.

"This week it was announced that the UK will send a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine. This is part of a package of combat power to accelerate Ukrainian success. Here’s a minute of the Challenger 2 doing what it does best", the department said in a statement.

Flashback

The Challenger 2 is the British Army's main battle tank. It is protected by extremely high explosive armor with classified measurements and is equipped with a 120 mm rifled gun for unique armor-piercing HESH rounds. The crew consists of 4 people.

Incidentally, the Ukrainian military will soon begin training on the Challenger 2 in the UK. Most likely, the training will not take long because, as British instructors note, the Ukrainian military is "motivated and learns very quickly". The tanks themselves are already being prepared for shipment to Ukraine.
