Video: AFU destroys Russian Su-34 supersonic fighter jet worth up to $50m

On 3 March 2023, a video of the destruction of the aircraft over Yenakiyevo, Donetsk Region, appeared on social networks. The shooting down of the fighter jet was later confirmed by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The destroyed aircraft turned out to be a supersonic Su-34 fighter jet, which cost $36-50 million. One pilot died, while the other managed to eject. The plane was shot down by fighters of the Nikopol anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Vostok air command at 06:30 (EDT) or 11:30 (PDT).

It is worth noting that this is not the first destroyed Russian Su-34 fighter jet.
