Ukraine will receive up to 90 Leopard 1 tanks by the end of 2023 from Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany

The Ukrainian Armed Forces may receive nearly a hundred Leopard 1 tanks from three countries this year. This was announced by acting Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

Here's What We Know

The Danish politician visited the German factory Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft, where the Leopard 1 is being prepared for shipment to Ukraine. Troels Lund Poulsen was satisfied with how the preparations were going and said that the key objective was to ensure deliveries in a short time frame.

Denmark announced in early February that it would send 100 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine together with Germany and the Netherlands. According to Poulsen, deliveries should start in May. Ukraine may receive 80-90 tanks by the end of this year.
