Here's What We Know
Eight Dutch fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighters are currently in Poland. The day before, they flew out to intercept three aircraft that approached the Polish border from the Kaliningrad region.
The military discovered one aircraft, but later it turned out there were three: an IL-20M reconnaissance aircraft and two Su-27 fighters. The Dutch F-35 Lightning II escorted them outside the NATO area of responsibility.
