Microsoft will forcibly upgrade Windows 10 21H2 to version 22H2

Microsoft has decided to force an upgrade of Windows 10 21H2 to version 22H2. The operating system update will be released shortly.

Here's What We Know

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 Home / Pro version 20H2 last May. Service for the Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise editions ceased a few days ago. Soon, the same fate awaits Windows 10 21H2.

The distribution will completely lose support on June 13, 2024, when Microsoft will stop releasing updates for Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise editions. However, support for Windows 10 Pro and Home edition 21H2 will end as early as June 13, 2023, which is less than a month away.

For this reason, Microsoft is preparing to initiate an automatic upgrade of Windows 10 21H2. Users of the consumer versions of the operating system will soon receive the 22H2 update. The company says that the update will ensure that devices are supported and receive the monthly updates required for the security of the ecosystem.
