Insider: budget smartphone Pixel 6a with a dual camera and a Tensor chip will debut in May
German insider Max Jambor has revealed when Google plans to introduce the Pixel 6a budget smartphone.
When to expect
According to the informant, the presentation of the novelty is scheduled for May. Unfortunately, there is no exact announcement date yet, but we can assume that the smartphone will debut along with smartwatches Pixel Watch.

Recall The Pixel 6a is codenamed Bluejay. It will become a simplified version of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The device is credited with a 6.2-inch OLED display, dimensions 152.2 × 71.8 × 8.7 mm, 6/8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of ROM, a proprietary Tensor processor, like older brothers, and a dual main camera with a 12.2 MP Sony IMX363 main sensor. By the way, the exact same sensor is installed in the Pixel 5, Pixel 4a and Pixel 4. It will be complemented by the 12 MP Sony IMX355 width.
As for the front camera, it will receive a resolution of 8 MP and a Sony IMX355 sensor, like the base Pixel 6 and last year's Google smartphones. The Pixel 6a should cost around $400-450.
