Amazon launches drone delivery in California

Company Amazon will start delivering parcels by unmanned aerial vehicles. Service Amazon Prime Air will be launched in Lockford, California.

The American e-commerce giant has obtained relevant permits from local authorities and the US Federal Aviation Administration. The company says all drones used to deliver orders are equipped with an obstacle avoidance system.

Clients will be able to use Amazon Prime Air to order products. The drone will deliver the package to the house and drop it from a safe height.
