Denmark claims two faulty F-35 fighters purchased from the U.S

Recently we wrote about problems with the ejection seats in F-35 fighters in the USA. An identical malfunction is confirmed by Denmark.

What we know

According to DR, the problem is related to a manufacturing defect. Faulty ejection seats were found in two of the six F-35 fighters that Denmark bought from the U.S. company Lockheed Martin.

Let us recall that the Armed Forces of Denmark signed a contract for the purchase of 27 F-35s from the U.S. to the amount of almost $2 billions. Moreover, the fifth-generation fighters will be delivered in phases, which is why Denmark extended the service life of the F-16 until 2027, while previously it was planned to remove them from service in 2024.
