The Iranian Armed Forces held a military exercise in which they showed several unmanned aerial vehicles in action.
Here's What We Know
Iran demonstrated its new Omid bomber munition. It resembles the Harop drone of the Israeli company IAI. However, the Iranian version lacks an electro-optical detection and targeting system. The kamikaze drone is focused on destroying enemy radar targets.
Another bomber munition, the Arash, was shown as part of the exercise. It made its debut in 2020.
Iran also demonstrated a Kaman-12 unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with Ghaem guided aerial bombs.
It was accompanied by a drone Mohajer-6 with guided missiles Amlas. By the way, this drone was recently observed in Russia.
Karrar UAVs with aerial bombs took part in the exercise.
Some of the drones in the exercise were launched from offshore platforms. Specifically, the Zhoobin and Pelican drones took off from the submarine Fateh.
