"This is the most amazing thing I've seen since Arcane". Hideo Kojima is excited about the new Cyberpunk anime: Edgerunners
On September 13, a 10-episode anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, it was developed by the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 CD Project Red and the Japanese anime studio Trigger. The anime received high ratings. For example, on RootenTomattos website, the project received 100% freshness and scored 97% rating out of 100 among the site users. Now, the author of Death Stranding and the founder of Kojima Productions Hideo Kojima has spoken about the cyberpunk anime, and he is delighted.
Here's What We Know
Hideo said that this anime is the most amazing thing he has seen since Arcane, the 2021 anime series based on the League of Legends universe. And the project itself reminds him of Yoshiaki Kawajiri's "Cyber City OEDO 808". Kojima is also sure that everyone will like the Edgerunners anime.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone 10-episode story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe about a street kid trying to survive in a future city obsessed with technology and body modification. Risking losing everything, he decides to become an edgerunner - a mercenary criminal, also known as cyberpunk.
