The red cat has overtaken all AAA titles: Stray wins Best PlayStation Game at Golden Joystick Awards

On November 23, the annual Golden Joystick Awards ceremony took place, which is already 40 years old. Among all categories, there was also the Best PlayStation Game award, which was won by one of the best indie games of 2022.

Here's What We Know

The winner was the game about a cat in a mysterious cyber city Stray. Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, The Last Of Us Part I, and Sifu also competed for this award. However, the debut creation of BlueTwelve Studio won the hearts of thousands of fans and critics in the summer, so it was quite expected that the game would receive at least a few awards by the end of 2022.

Next time Stray will be able to receive awards on December 8 at The Game Awards 2022. At the ceremony, the game is nominated for 6 awards at once. Among them: game of the year, best adventure, best debut indie game, best indie game, best production and best art style. So now it remains to see how many awards Stray will receive by the end of the year.

Flashback

Stray is a third-person adventure game about a cat who finds himself among the detailed, neon-lit alleyways of a dead cyber city. The ginger cat and his drone assistant will have to unravel the mysteries of this inhospitable place inhabited by nosy droids and dangerous creatures.
