Google announced refunds for hardware buyers for Stadia cloud service

Customers of the game service Google Stadia can get a small gift for Christmas and the New Year.

Here's What We Know

Less than two months remain before the final closure of the cloud gaming service Stadia, which only lived a few years before going to Google's graveyard of closed projects. The company began giving refunds for games back in the fall, and soon customers will be able to get the money they spent to buy hardware solutions for Stadia.

The Stadia project will finally close on January 18, 2023. Google promises that in about two weeks customers of the Stadia Controller gamepads, as well as the Founders Edition, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV sets, will be able to get their money back. The procedure will drag on until mid-January.

In November, Google asked users not to write to support for refunds. The company said that all money would be refunded automatically. At that time it was about money spent on games and subscriptions.
