Game sales chart for January 2023 in Ukraine: GTA V, Minecraft and God of War Ragnarok are the Top 3
ERC, the official distributor of PlayStation and console games in Ukraine, has published a rating of game sales for January 2023. GTA V, Minecraft, and God of War Ragnarok are in the top three.
Here's What We Know
According to gamedev.dou.ua, game sales fell by 38% compared to last January. However, in November and December, the situation was even worse - the drop was 42% and 49%, respectively. Despite the war, Ukrainians bought more than 22,000 discs in December.
By the way, FIFA 23, which is very popular in Ukraine, lost ground and dropped to 4th place. At the same time, ERC notes: "For FIFA 23 and God of War Ragnarök, PlayStation 4 discs are still more popular than PlayStation 5. So, not all active players have been able to switch to the next-gen yet. It is also interesting that the January release, the remake of Dead Space, took 36th place. Although only the first week of sales was taken into account here."
