Reuters: France has already transferred to Ukraine a part of SCALP cruise missiles with a target range of 250 kilometres

Yesterday, on 11 July, France announced that it would transfer SCALP (aka Storm Shadow) cruise missiles to Ukraine. Now there is information that the Ukrainian armed forces already have them.

Here's What We Know

This was reported by Reuters, citing French diplomatic sources. Ukraine has so far received part of the missiles. In total, France plans to transfer 50 SCALP to the AFU.

Flashback

SCALP (aka Storm Shadow) is a French-British air-to-ground cruise missile. It is being developed by MBDA. The missile is designed to destroy important targets that are well protected by air defences. SCALP can be used at any time of day and in difficult weather conditions. The missile is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 250 kilometres. By the way, earlier the AFU received such missiles from Great Britain. SCALP carriers are Tornado, Mirage 2000, Rafale and Typhoon aircraft, but the Ukrainian Air Force was able to adapt it for the Su-24 bomber, using pylons from British Tornado fighters.
