Battery capacity Samsung Galaxy S9 is the same as the Galaxy S8

Future flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + will be similar to their predecessors, not only externally. A fresh leak confirms rumors that the battery capacity in the devices will remain unchanged.

What is known?

Insiders published photos of smartphone batteries. So, the Samsung Galaxy S9 with the SM-G960 index will receive a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh (11.55 W · h), and the Plus-version under the SM-G965 number - at 3500 mAh (13.48 Wh). Judging by the marking, the batteries are produced by Samsung SDI, although usually the Korean giant has several suppliers.

Apparently, the internal design of the flagships did not change much compared to the Galaxy S8 / S8 +, and a more powerful battery would simply not fit. But the battery life of the smartphone depends on other parameters. According to Samsung itself, the new chipset Exynos 9810 , based on which international versions of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + are built, provides better performance with less power consumption. However, we already know how this will end - top-end smartphones operate on a single charge, on average, one light day.

Presentation of new Samsung will be held on February 25 at the exhibition MWC 2018. Also, prices are expected to increase .
