The younger brother Galaxy S9 +: the characteristics of Samsung SM-G8850 from AnTuTu

Recently, a mysterious smartphone Samsung SM-G8850 has passed certification in China with an unexpected design for the company. Photos of the gadget have already been reviewed in detail , and thanks to the developers of the AnTuTu benchmark, the main characteristics have become known.

What do we have here?

In the TENAA database, the incorrect characteristics were actually indicated. The heart of the Samsung SM-G8850 is the eight-core Snapdragon 660 chipset with powerful Adreno 512 graphics. The operative memory is 4 gigabytes, the built-in 64 gigabytes. Our assumption about the elongated screen of Infinity Display was confirmed - the smartphone received a panel with a ratio of 18.5: 9 and Full HD + (2280x1080 pixels). According to insiders, the diagonal will be 6.3 inches - this is definitely not the Galaxy S9 Mini .

Samsung SM-G8850 is covered with glass on both sides, on the back panel there is a double camera (rumored to be 24-megapixel) shifted to the left edge and a fingerprint scanner. On the left side there is an additional Bixby call button. Prototypes are running Android 8.0 Oreo.

In tests AnTuTu smartphone is gaining an average of 135,000 points. This is the level of Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and other devices on the same platform.

When to expect?

Since the smartphone has already passed certification, and Samsung has started testing it in benchmarks, the announcement should take place within the next few months. In terms of filling the device is located between the Galaxy A8 + and Galaxy S9 +. Perhaps it will even be an exclusive model for the Chinese market - in international versions, Exynos processors are usually used.
