LG: we planned the design of LG G7 ThinQ with a cut before Apple

This year, many large device manufacturers began to copy the design (never such was and again) Apple's smartphone with a cut-out on the screen (iPhone X). Some companies recognized this fact, while others came up with interesting (in fact, no) excuses. And that's what LG said about this.

What is known

A few days ago, the Korean manufacturer introduced its flagship LG G7 ThinQ smartphone with a "bang" on the screen. Naturally, journalists were interested in why the company took such a step. But, according to the head of the mobile unit of LG Hwang Jeong-hwan, such a design with a "monoble" was developed before the release of the iPhone X. In addition, the company prefers to call it the second screen (that does not mean it). The only representative of LG agreed that the device is similar to other flagship smartphones this year, but it also has its own features that others do not. Unfortunately, if this is true, then it is unlikely that many users can be persuaded - yet the iPhone X came out much earlier.

Characteristics

Recall, LG G7 ThinQ received a 6.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of QHD + (3120 × 1440p) and a ratio of 19.5: 9 (because of the cutout). For the performance of the smartphone is responsible flagship Qualcomm processor - Snapdragon 845. In addition, the novelty of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM, which can be expanded with microSD cards. In addition to this configuration, a model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM should appear later. In LG G7 ThinQ installed a 3000 mAh battery with fast and wireless charging, as well as a dual main camera module at 16 megapixels. The second module is wide-angle, with a viewing angle of 107 degrees.
