Unexpected: the new iPad Pro may get an M4 processor, not an M3 processor

In a week and a half, on 7 May, Apple will hold a presentation where it will present its new iPad Air and iPad Pro tablets. It would seem that numerous leaks have already revealed the key features of the new products, but it is possible that Apple still has some trump cards to play.

Details

It was previously expected that the updated iPad Pro would get OLED displays in two sizes (11 and 13 inches), an M3 processor and a redesigned front camera layout. But Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has unexpectedly reported that Apple may skip the M3 update and equip the iPad Pro with M4 processors right away.

According to Mark, the key new feature of the M4 chip will be an updated Neural Engine, which will improve performance on artificial intelligence tasks. And he believes Apple will market the next iPad Pro as an artificial intelligence-powered device.

Admittedly, it's unclear exactly what artificial intelligence features Apple will be able to show off now. After all, most of the artificial intelligence software is planned for iOS 18, which will be presented at WWDC in June.

In any case, the presentation is already soon, so you won't have to guess for a long time.
