Apple CEO Tim Cook earned $74.6 million in 2024
Apple CEO Tim Cook earned $74.6 million in 2024, which is an increase of $11.4 million compared to the previous year, when his income was $63.2 million.
Here's What We Know
These data became known thanks to the company's annual report, which Apple published on 10 January 2025.
Tim Cook's income included several main components: a base salary of $3 million, shareholder bonuses worth $58 million, performance bonuses worth $12 million, and other payments such as pension contributions, life insurance, vacation compensation, security costs, and personal air travel worth $1.5 million. Importantly, Apple requires Cook to use private jets for all his travels, both business and personal.
Apple has set the target compensation for Tim Cook at $59 million. However, due to the bonuses he received for the company's achievements, his total income was higher. Although his earnings increased in 2024, they still remained less than in 2022, when Cook earned $99 million. After this record, the board of directors decided to reduce his compensation by almost 25%.
Other top managers of the company, including CFO Luca Maestri, Senior Vice President Kate Adams, Vice President Dierdre O'Brien, and COO Jeff Williams, earned a total of $27.2 million.
