Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra gets new super-strong Gorilla Armour 2 glass with anti-reflective effect
Samsung Electronics and Corning Incorporated have announced that the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone is equipped with the latest Corning® Gorilla® Armour 2 coating.

This is the world's first glass-ceramic coating for mobile devices that combines high scratch resistance with anti-reflective properties.
Improved durability and image quality
Gorilla Armour 2 is an important breakthrough in glass ceramic technology, providing increased protection against damage and reduced glare. As a result, the image on the smartphone display remains clear even in bright light. In laboratory tests, the new material withstood drops from a height of up to 2.2 metres onto a concrete-like surface, while alternative materials shattered from as little as one metre.

In addition, Gorilla Armour 2 has increased scratch resistance - four times higher than other glass-ceramic coatings with an anti-reflective layer.
This is not the first time Samsung has collaborated with Corning.
Gorilla Armour 2 anti-reflective coating significantly reduces glare both indoors and outdoors. This improves the contrast of the image, which ensures comfortable use of the smartphone in any lighting conditions.
