You won't need a glucometer anymore: Galaxy Watch will be able to measure blood glucose levels contactlessly

Continuous glucose monitors provide diabetics with important information to help them control their blood sugar levels. However, these devices currently still require a needle to draw blood.
Here's What We Know
Samsung is developing a technology that will allow measuring blood glucose levels without pain and without skin contact.
Smart gadgets are of great benefit due to their ability to collect data from various sensors, such as steps, heart rate, blood oxygen content, etc. However, companies developing the best devices are always looking to add new features.
At the Samsung Health forum in San Jose, Hong Park, Senior Vice President of the company, shared his team's achievements in this area: "We are working on a contactless optical blood glucose monitor. I can't tell you the exact launch date, but I'm very excited about the progress we're making. If we get it right, it will be a real revolution."

This technological achievement could be a major breakthrough for Galaxy watch sales, as the main competitor in this market is Apple, which is also actively developing health sensors for its devices.
It is worth noting that the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches currently have a variety of health monitoring functions, from blood pressure to sleep tracking. However, one of the most important is the new Sleep Apnea detection feature, which can be a real lifesaver. Obstructive sleep apnoea is a condition where breathing stops during sleep, which can lead to serious health problems, including heart disease and stroke.
