British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin has found an original way to make its future electric cars more emotional. Instead of artificial engine sound or simulated gear shifts, the company can use body vibrations to transmit the same vibrations experienced by the driver in petrol models with V12 engines.

Here's What We Know

The company is developing its first mass-produced electric car, which should be available by 2030. It will be based on Lucid technology, but Aston Martin promises to retain its signature styling.

Brand CEO Adrian Hallmark assures that artificial sounds and pseudo gearshifts are not an option. He hinted that future models could utilise active body structures that would mimic the physical sensation of driving a V12. This would create the same emotions as a petrol-powered sports car.

Aston Martin is also focusing on reducing the weight of future electric cars. The company is considering solid state batteries, but they will not appear in the first generation of the brand's electric cars.
