Chery will equip its cars with drones

Chinese automakers are once again proving that their imagination is limitless. Chery announced Fly Eye system integrated with the car's on-board system drone, which will help drivers shoot video, search for parking and detect obstacles on the route.
Here's What We Know
Chery will unveil its first drone-equipped vehicle, the Exeed Exlantix ET crossover, on 18 March. The flying machine will be stored in a special "hangar" on the roof and controlled via the car's multimedia system.

The drone will be able to fulfil several functions:
- Keep an eye on the car while driving
- Transmit live video
- Help find parking spaces
- Detect obstacles on the road
Control is simple - with a tap on the screen, you can lift the drone into the air or return it to base to recharge. Specifications have not been disclosed yet. More details are expected after the official presentation.
The trend for drone cars
BYD unveiled a similar system last week. Its drone can move at speeds of up to 54 km/h, and charging from 20 to 80 per cent takes about 30 minutes. The cost of this system is 16,000 yuan (about $2,200 or 2,040 euros).
