It looks like April 21 or 22 may be a special day for fans of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. At least, according to numerous rumours, leaks, and insider reports, the long-awaited - though still unconfirmed - remaster of the cult RPG may appear in the coming days.

Here's What We Know

While Microsoft, Bethesda, and Virtuos remain silent, the community continues to piece together the puzzle of the upcoming release. A fresh leak has revealed the potential size of the remastered files, and it is worth noting that it is much larger than the original.

According to the insider Kran27, Oblivion Remastered can take up a whopping 120 GB, which is approximately 22 times larger than the original 5.52 GB (including the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles DLCs).

In addition, Kran27 claims that the remaster is indeed scheduled for release on 21 April.

In addition to the size leak, the Oblivion community also discovered what looks like an Oblivion Remastered page on SteamDB. According to rumours, some users have even seen the game in their Steam library.

At the moment, it is believed that all the rumours and leaks are part of a cunning plan by the developers to create hype without spending too much on marketing - effectively forcing fans to do the advertising for them. Whether this is true or not will probably become known this week. So, all that remains is to wait and see.
