The iPhone 17 Air prototype was spotted in an Apple Store in China, where it was shown to customers. This smartphone is likely to be made using CAD models that were previously leaked. Now it seems that the design that appeared in the rumours may be true.

Here's What We Know

As previously reported in the leaks, the iPhone 17 Air will be the thinnest iPhone with a thickness of only 5.5 mm. The main feature will be a large camera protrusion, similar to the design of Google Pixel smartphones. This protrusion will be thicker than the rest of the body and can reach 8.5 mm.

In the video posted by the insider, the prototype was compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and this once again highlighted the difference in thickness between the models. This confirms previous leaks about the new design.

Apple usually hides its products before announcements, so the appearance of this prototype in the store raises the question of whether it was a deliberate step or an accidental mistake.

It is known that Apple seems to have abandoned the prototype of the large ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air with a 6.9-inch screen due to concerns that it may be prone to bending.

The iPhone 17 Air and other models in the iPhone 17 series are expected to be unveiled in September 2025, and new leaks and rumours about the upcoming smartphone are likely to emerge before then.
