The director and producer of inZOI, Hyunjun "Kjun" Kim, published a letter to players in which he spoke about the content planned for May to August. The letter talks about both upcoming updates and new features that are currently in development.

Here's What We Know

At the beginning of the letter, Kim mentioned the work on player feedback. In particular, he noted frequent complaints about the game's unstable performance, unnatural emotional reactions of characters, and the lack of depth in the Karma system. He thanked the community for their feedback and noted the positive reaction to the changes in emotional behaviour.

The May update will bring support for mods. Although it will not be possible to create full-fledged gameplay systems yet, players will be able to change game data. Official plug-ins for Blender and Maya will be available to create custom furniture and clothing. Modders will have access to textures, meshes, effects, and MetaSounds, as well as training materials. The modding system is scheduled to be completed in December.

Future updates will include small vehicles, such as motorcycles, as well as a system for customising them. They are designed to emphasise the cosy atmosphere of the new small town.

In addition, Kjun confirmed that the studio is working on adding criminal content to deepen the Karma system. The game will feature situations with arrests and imprisonment of characters, which will trigger new events. The goal is to create logically connected and deep gameplay interactions.
